design Philosophy
Guy de Vos Design is a bespoke interior design practice working primarily on private residences, with a limited number of select commissions.
The studio approaches interior design as an architectural discipline. Each project begins with proportion, spatial flow, and the relationship between structure, light, and material. Interiors are conceived as complete environments rather than decorative compositions, shaped by the architecture of the building and its surrounding context.
The work is architecture led and material driven. Natural stone, timber, plaster, textiles, and custom crafted elements are selected for their tactile quality, longevity, and ability to age with dignity. Details are resolved quietly, with an emphasis on junctions, transitions, and balance rather than visual statement.
The studio is known for a language of understated luxury. Spaces are calm, restrained, and intentional. Luxury is expressed through precision, craftsmanship, and atmosphere, not through excess or trend. Each interior is designed to remain relevant over time, resisting short term stylistic cycles.
Projects are typically long term collaborations with clients who value discretion, trust, and continuity. Many clients commission multiple residences across different locations, each designed with a distinct material palette and spatial character while maintaining a consistent level of refinement.
Alongside private residences, the studio is open to a small number of carefully selected commissions, including family offices and design led boutique hospitality projects that share a residential sensibility and long term vision.
Guy de Vos Design operates as a boutique practice, intentionally limited in scale. Every project receives direct involvement and close attention, ensuring a coherent, deeply considered result from concept to completion.
The work is defined by elegance, quiet, architectural, and precise.
